Our Greener Printing Technology Mission.
Over the last two years Imageco have reinvented the printing products and technology we use, as we shift our business model and operations toward a circular and low-carbon economy and do our bit for the environment. We turned to both HP and Efi as their wide format printers offered us greener printing methods.
HP Latex Technology has fundamentally changed the environmental profile of signage, decoration and textile printing. With an end-to-end approach, HP continues to set the standard for more sustainable large-format printing.
Recognized as one of the most sustainable companies in the world, as part of our eco mission we saw Latex as the prefect solution for us interms of production, quality, applications and the environment.

Carbon offsetting against our CO2 emissions
Carbon ‘offsetting’ is the means in which an individual or business invests back in to the environment to counteract their unavoidable CO2 emissions. This can be done through the purchasing of carbon credits that arise from carbon capture or carbon reduction projects – such as woodland creation – and this enables businesses to compensate for their emissions and meet their carbon reduction goals. A successful carbon offsetting program has many benefits – increased staff and stakeholder engagement, improved customer loyalty and an increased awareness within the business of the need to reduce its environmental impacts – plus it helps differentiate a business from its competition.
Although called ‘carbon offsetting’ the term actually refers to the reduction of any greenhouse gas, not only CO2. The greenhouse gases that various different types of carbon offset programs will help combat are carbon dioxide, methane, nitrous oxide, sulfur hexafluoride and ozone gases. The term used is carbon offsetting because all of the other gases are measured in terms of their carbon dioxide equivalence, making it easier to compare the impacts of different types of greenhouse gas emissions reduction projects.
In 2016 Imageco had contributed to the planting of 39 trees, as much as we would love to eradicate our CO2 emmisions completely, that just isn’t feasible at this moment in time. contributing to the planting of trees is the least we can do until a solution for a completely green vehicle is available to us, the time will come.
Our waste management facility Prism operate a no landfill policy , we have recycling bins and skips for acrylic, dibond and all paper / card products. everything is taken away indepenantly of our regular waste.
Efi Vutek GS3250lx Ultradrop Pro
At Imageco we understand fully how integration of workflows can eliminate over production, so our vethos is to use less energy and maximise material usage. generating cost-effective business practices and improve our green credentials.
Improved colour accuracy and repeatability are also key contributors to optimising processes which encourage more eco awareness by removing waste and reducing reprints. With recent investments in to our Efi VutekGS3250LX Ultradrop Pro and Zund G3 cutter we have not only increased our productivity we have significantly reduced our waste and by adding back end software for the Zund we have increased our ability to nest work effectively and reduce media consumption and gang up more work ready for output.
Our “greener” materials.
Many high street brands and supermarkets are now growing ever concious about their contributions to the environment and that filters down to their suppliers such as us. There are many greener print materials available such as PVC free products, FSC approved wallpapers, digitally printable FCS approved wood, 100% recycled acrylic.
With such demand in greener solutions for many of the big brands we have to be in keeping with them and offer solutions that reflect their green credentials. Contact us for sample on our greener medias.
