Meet the Team: Scott

by Nathan Swinson-Bullough

In the latest installment of ‘Meet the Team’, we would like to introduce Scott, our new Head of Sustainable Business.

Tell us a little about you?

I started with Imageco in November 2020 following 8 years of running my own business. I have a massive passion for sustainability and the environment, I even have 3 chickens in my garden! To deal with food waste and to generate compost. I joined Imageco to build on the fantastic work done by Nathan and the team to improve sustainability in wide-format print

Why is sustainability so important to you?

Like many other people, I consume too much and buy unnecessary items that are often disposed of incorrectly. Creating an epidemic of waste being sent to rot in landfills, not to mention the harmful gases that are created in the huge pits of rubbish.

I believe, as a society, we have a chance to improve our environmental awareness whilst living normal lives (Normal as can be in a Pandemic).

How is Imageco improving its carbon footprint?

Our CEO Nathan has recently committed to ISO 14001 environmental management certification for Imageco. This framework will enable every aspect of Imageco to be environmentally approved and certified. Alongside this, we have changed all lighting to LED and joined a carbon-offsetting scheme which in return for purchasing our eco-friendly recycled bottle wallpaper, sees us plant hundreds of trees in partnership with the Yorkshire Dales Millennium Trust!

Where is your favourite place in the world?

Would have to be Lake Como, Italy. I took the family on a train journey across North Italy in 2019 and it was amazing! Take me back there!

Give us your best piece of advice?

Take a leap of faith every now and then!

What is your favourite film?

Tough one, I have lots (I’m a secret film buff) but most recently I enjoyed ‘The Big Short’.

What have you learned since joining Imageco?

That there is so much this company can do beyond what I first expected!

If you can see yourself joining the team, get in touch.
