High Impact Exterior Signage

McCarthy’s Storage World has recently celebrated its 50th anniversary. Founded in 1968 by Mick McCarthy, the company first started out as a man & van removal service. Over the years they evolved to become the largest privately-owned removals company in the whole of Yorkshire. The family-owned business has self-storage centres in Leeds, Wakefield, and Harrogate. Continuing its expansion, the company has recently opened two new self-storage centres in 2020, York & Huddersfield.

The purpose-built self-storage centre in York offers 50,000 sq ft of secure, flexible, affordable storage space, for business and individual customers.

McCarthy’s once again drafted in our signage expertise to brand the building, making sure homeowners and small businesses alike could see they had a place to securely store their goods.

In February 2020, we carried out a full site survey to create visuals for our client’s approval. Following approval, we specified and provided:

- Large built-up rim and return letters with internal LED face illumination to read ‘SELF STORAGE’

- Internally illuminated LED flex face boxes complete with tensioned graphics

- Various folded sign trays with graphics to face around the building entrances

The external signage was completed whilst working alongside the main contractor during the construction phase of the build.
