Helping in a crisis

NHS
OVERVIEW

During the Covid-19 pandemic, we used our creativity and technology to assist in the crisis. We sat down as a team and brainstormed ideas of products we could develop that would help protect front-line workers. We set out to create numerous types of products such as protective masks and sustainable safety signage.

Supporting the NHS

Using our expertise, technological equipment and materials we reworked our operations to create personal protective equipment. Using our Zund cutter and sewing facilities we were able to develop masks, hand sainting stations and social distancing POS. In a matter of days, we were able to donate over 50 visors to Leeds General Infirmary and 20 to Bywater Hall and Lodge care home. In a couple of weeks, we surpassed our expectations and created and donated hundreds of PPE. This would not have been possible without the support of public donation, we raised £4,000 and have produced 2,900 visors, including a set of special visors designed for children’s hospices with a colourful rainbow motif. The equipment has been delivered to care teams across the UK, including in Rotherham, Leeds, Newcastle, Sheffield and Glasgow.

Social Distancing Solutions

Secure Supermarkets

It wasn’t just the NHS we wanted to protect. We took our wide-format print experience of the retail sector to create dedicated POS and graphics that promote social distancing. We developed 2-metre distance POS units, hand sanitation stations and anti-bacterial stickers for supermarkets to use across their store so they can operate as safely as possible. Protecting both the vital key workers and the general public.

Retail POS

Still Sustainable

Even with the time pressure, we made sure to stick to our roots and develop products that were sustainable. All of the POS we created was produced using Xantia board that is made from 100% recycled material and can be recycled afterward. So even during a pandemic like this, we were not contributing to the environmental crisis. We would just like to say a big thank you to FESPA UK for all their support! They've helped us with visor production & delivery to hospices, care homes and hospitals who urgently needed PPE.
