Make UK is an institution that champions and celebrates British manufacturing and manufacturers, with the aim of building a platform for the evolution of the UK’s industry. “With our industry playing such a crucial part in the economy, we understand the need to help nurture a sustainable and prosperous future for UK manufacturing. We at Greyhound Box want to do our part in encouraging the next generation, promoting the exciting, highly skilled and rewarding careers on offer in industries that will establish the UK internationally as leaders in manufacturing. It was great to see how interested and ambitious the students were and hopefully, they left Greyhound Box considering a bright future in manufacturing.” – Matthew Kay, Assistant Commercial Manager at Greyhound Box
As part of their involvement in Make UK’s National Manufacturing Day, the Imageco and Greyhound Box teams provided an engaging factory tour alongside a line-up of expert speakers for their budding guests. The C-suite team members even got involved, with Imageco’s very own Nathan Swinson-Bullough, giving an inspiring talk on his own experience within the sector:
“I told them my personal story from Council estate kid blasting round on a Striker to the face of a global award-winning graphics and manufacturing company… My advice to them is to work hard at what you do, and you never know where you might end up.”
