A standout example of our team’s work is the vibrant transformation we delivered for Zaap Thai’s Durham restaurant. We turned a blank exterior into a bustling Bangkok street scene, filled with bold colours and cultural character. 

To bring the vision to life, we produced their signature ‘ZAAP’ signage in bold branding. Complementing the signage, our team designed and installed detailed window vinyl across the lower window panels, featuring Thai tuk-tuks, motorbikes, pedestrians, and traffic lights to capture the energy of a busy Bangkok road. The result was a truly immersive and eye-catching frontage, that aligned with Zaap’s branding and concept! 

We produced these striking vinyl window displays using Metamark’s grey-back vinyl, a high-performing material designed to last up to 5 years outdoors. It’s the ideal foundation for delivering bold, high-quality prints that stand out from a distance. 

Bringing Colour to the Community 

With the aim of attracting foot traffic and welcoming visitors back to Leeds City Centre as lockdown restrictions eased, we harnessed the power of window vinyl to transform empty spaces into vibrant art displays. Commissioned by Leeds City Council, the project featured bold, distinctive artwork by talented artist Ekaterina Sheath, each piece inspired by real people passing by the site, capturing the unique spirit and diversity of the local community.  

“Every element within my design has a direct link to Leeds. After reading the brief I felt that the people who make up our community were integral to the project and wanted to ensure that they were the main focus. 

Symbols scattered between the characters represent the variety of bars and cafes the city has to offer. The abstract shapes and patterns are inspired by the local architecture. People are shopping, busking, going for a stroll, sipping on a cup of tea and catching up with friends. My design aims to embody Leeds as a thriving community and a welcoming place to live, work, and shop.” -Ekaterina Sheath 

 Spanning five shopfronts on Briggate and two in Trinity Leeds, this project was a powerful way to create a sense of warmth and welcome. Featuring real people as its subjects, the artwork conveyed a strong message of unity, community, and the enduring Leeds spirit. After months of lockdown, it served as a catalyst for change, encouraging people to return to the city, reclaim the streets, and reconnect. It also played a vital role in supporting local businesses hit hard by the pandemic, helping drive footfall and reinvigorate the high street. 

Imageco brought this impactful project to life using our HP Latex printer, which runs on water-based inks, reducing environmental impact. To further enhance the sustainability of the installation, we printed on a premium PVC-free laminate, ensuring the final result was not only vibrant and long-lasting but also free from harmful chemicals and pollutants. Our team completed the installation with precision and care, making sure the artwork stood out beautifully in every location. We’re incredibly proud to have delivered this project, contributing to a meaningful moment for the Leeds community and supporting the city’s return to vibrant street life.
