HARK

Creating and interactive exhibition experience with Hark

HARK
OVERVIEW

We were asked by Hark and Dell to collaborate on an exciting project to create a joint exhibition stand for Tech Show North. They really wanted to wow the crowd and knew we were the guys to call. Hark wanted the stand to represent the energy monitoring and smart cities aspects of their company. The entire project was a collaborative process and our team worked closely with Hark’s design team to produce a bespoke exhibition stand. We oversaw the entire project from inception to install.

The stand

The exhibition backdrop used the client’s artwork printed directly onto foamex panels, which were attached to Imageco’s T3 Exhibition Framework via magnets. The artwork was inspired by an urban setting in Hark colours but what really stole the show were the six-foot spinning wind turbines! Hark’s exhibition space was right next to the entrance of the building, so the stand needed an instant visual impact to draw people in. To do this, we made the 12sq meter space appear larger with an open plan design and included 3D elements to really make it stand-out.

ROTATING FAN BLADES

The wind turbines were brought to life using rotating fan blades and we provided expert advice on the best products to use for the blades and came to the agreement to use Xanita board. Xanita is lightweight so it is great for mounting onto backboards and allows easy blade movement. Not only this, its sustainable properties complement Hark’s values.

HOLOGRAM FAN

Our specialist team created visual effects to be displayed on a hologram fan, with the key visual being Hark’s logo to really get their brand out there. There were a lot of technical components on this stand, but we didn’t allow for any malfunctions! We worked with Hark’s engineers on the pre-build to ensure all of the components were fine-tuned.

THE INTERACTIVE PODIUM

An interactive stand meant visitors were not just spectators but participants and could experience Hark and Dell’s technologies first-hand. The technology demo area required specialist attention; a podium had to be custom-built with the exact measurements of their hardware to create specific placeholders for each component. The embedded temperature monitors and vibration sensors allowed visitors to interact with Hark’s dashboard on a mounted screen in real-time. Delegates could even control the speed of the wind turbines!

“We love Imageco’s creativity. They’re continuously looking for cutting-edge solutions and materials to bring projects to life. All the interactive elements made for a unique experience for our visitors. We look forward to working with them again at our next exhibition.” Mike Jeffs, Chief Commercial Officer
