Sustainability in today’s climate remains a priority for modern consumers. Customers care about the planet, and they’re supporting brands that do too. It’s no surprise that over 80% of retailers say prioritising sustainability helps build stronger customer loyalty.
Sustainable retail displays offer retailers a smarter, greener alternative to traditional marketing materials. This means using sustainable materials, implementing sustainable design, responsible production methods, and even renewable energy – reducing the impact from creation right through to disposal. It’s an excellent way to showcase new products/ranges while reinforcing your brand values and ethos.
At Imageco, we specialise in creating standout displays, sustainably. We’ve delivered sustainable retail displays for some of the biggest names on the highstreets. From inception to reveal, our team of experts work diligently to breathe life into your vision. We work to make an impact on your customers, not the planet.
Imageco truly champions sustainability. We work to showcase the incredible capabilities of sustainable materials, bringing their potential to the spotlight and making them the first choice for future displays.
Xanita board is one of the most reliable materials we work with for sustainable print projects. This robust fibreboard offers an ideal balance of durability, versatility, and environmental performance. Xanita is made from hard cardboard and has a fully repulpable core. Its benefits also include: being non-toxic, 100% recyclable, and around 75% lighter than MDF, making it easier to transport and install, with reduced emissions!
Its print-ready surface eliminates the need for additional vinyls or foils, and it performs exceptionally well with both UV and Latex inks. The result is consistently sharp, high-definition output on a material that supports both creative freedom and sustainable practice. Xanita board continues to be an excellent solution for producing standout, environmentally responsible displays.
Sustainable design as a concept aims to create products that are recyclable, reusable, and support a circular economy. Our use of materials plays a key role in this, reflecting our commitment to minimising environmental impact. But at Imageco, designing retail displays that reduce that impact is something we’ve truly mastered.
We prioritise sustainable design from the earliest stages, working closely with clients to bring their vision to life. Once our expert design team has developed the creative concepts, the work is passed to our meticulous CAD engineers. CAD (Computer-Aided Design) is the process of creating lifelike, scaled digital prototypes using precise calculations, giving clients a clear idea of what their window or POS display will look like.
CAD plays a key role in sustainable design by allowing us to visualise and refine a build without the need to physically produce prototypes. This cutting-edge software helps us avoid wasted materials, reduce energy use, and leaves room for any adjustments, ensuring a perfect outcome with minimal environmental impact.
We harnessed the power of CAD to bring e&e Jewellery’s dreamy storefront to life. Inspired by Matisse-style abstract figures, we developed a series of detailed, high-quality CAD visuals to present to the client. Once approved, our expert cardboard engineering team stepped in to build the display.
The final installation featured layered and suspended Swedboard, complete with refined edging for a luxurious finish. Accents of printed acrylic and gold vinyl were added to enhance the brand’s colour palette and create a rich, feminine aesthetic.
At Imageco, we can now provide a detailed Carbon Metrics report for all retail display projects, giving you full transparency on the environmental impact of your campaign. Using advanced tracking technology, we calculate emissions across your entire project, including materials, production, logistics, and transport.
But it’s more than just numbers. This report is a practical tool for showcasing your sustainability efforts. Whether you’re sharing it with customers, clients, or your internal team. It’s perfect for use in ESG reporting, marketing materials, or even in-store messaging to build trust and demonstrate your commitment to responsible retail.
If you’re serious about reducing your impact and communicating that to your audience, carbon reporting is the next step forward.
Sustainable retail displays not only look amazing but actively work to improve brand image.
