MEET THE TEAM: ED

In our latest Meet the Team blog post, we’d like to introduce you to our print manager, Ed! 

Tell us a little bit about you. 

I’m 32 and have been part of the Imageco team for 17 years. I started working here in the six-week holidays doing the packing as a temp.  I was then offered a job in the Mac room where I was training to set up the artwork ready to print. 

As Imageco grew my role changed a few times, leading to my current position as Print Manager. 

Outside of work you will find me supporting Leeds United, out with friends or away somewhere with my wife of 3 years, Rachel. An interesting fact about Rachel and I is that we share the same birthday. I have no excuse to forget! 

What is the coolest thing you’re working on right now? 

Our exhibition stand at Marketing Show North. 

The entire stand will be built out of Xanita Print board which is a sustainable, engineered, closed-cell fibre board. 

What’s the best thing about being in the Imageco office? 

The best thing about working at Imageco is definitely the people I work with and the relaxed working environment. 

Give us one big change you can see coming in the industry in the next year? 

The growth of LED display screens. 

Describe your job in three words. 

Challenging, fast, varied. 

  What did you want to grow up to be when you were a kid? 

A racing driver—it’s probably a good job I wasn’t since I had written 3 cars off by the time I was 21! 

What is your go-to drink at the pub? 

Spiced rum or a gin and tonic. 

If you could go anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why? 

Dubai—even though I’ve only just come back from there.  My sister, brother-in-law and 4-year-old nephew live out there, and it would be nice to spend some more time with them.  Plus, it is absolutely freezing here!

Don’t worry about things that are out of your control; everything will be different again in a week.
