So we’re not usually ones to blow our own horns but it’s been a pretty special one this year at Imageco and we thought we’d take the opportunity to look back over what’s seemed like hurricane of new client wins, new team members and award-winning work!
Let’s start with our amazing team, let’s face it, we’d be nowhere without them. We’re massive believers in the power of fresh blood and what innovations can be unearthed when you diversify. Our growth has allowed for us to bring in key new members of staff this year who are driving the company forward.
We’re also keen to support the homegrown talent here in Leeds and have taken on five apprentices from the local community in the past five years. We work with young people whose career trajectory isn’t necessarily academic to give them a sense of purpose and drive. We’re proud to be contributing to that.
If you know anything about Imageco, you know we’re pretty serious when it comes to our eco-mission. This year we’ve brought in more eco-friendly print products than ever before and by turning to alternative methods of print offered by HP and Efi, we’ve been able to set examples for how wide-format print companies can go green! To tackle our Carbon Offsetting, we’ve introduced a new tree planning scheme and currently we have planted 39 trees!
We gained recognition for our green ethos when we were shortlisted for Green Company of the Year at the Digital Printer Awards.
This year we’ve worked with companies the world over and we’ve been rolling out shipments from Sheffield to Chamonix and Swindon to San Fran. Saying that, we’re proud to be a Leeds-based company and can say in all honesty, our success is down to the hard-working Leeds SME eco-system we’re lucky enough to be part of.
To keep up with the orders we’ve implemented a Caldera work flow enabling automatic cutting from all our printers to the Zund. This speeds up file set up processes reducing time and waste. We also invested in a new matic sewing machine doubling our sewing capacity for lightbox fabric finishing!
Our 2019 was truly topped off this month when we were awarded the coveted Brand Yorkshire Small Company of the Year Award. The accolade really is a culmination of everything we’ve worked for this year and the whole team should be really proud of what we’ve achieved.
